Happ Birthday Mary Ann — We Love And Miss You.

Although our lovely sister has gone home to Heaven, I had to post her favorite song “Rev Lee” by Roberta Flack. Due to copy right issues I could not post Roberta’s version.

John 3:16 (New King James Version)
16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

New Round of Rocket Attacks Launched against Israel

Dear Andrew,

The Palestinian terrorists who control Gaza (the land Israel gave up in exchange for “peace”) have launched a new round of mortar and rocket attacks on Jewish cities in the southern part of Israel. Just yesterday, a rocket struck just feet away from a kindergarten in Ashkelon just as the students were arriving for classes. One young girl was injured in the attack. Aviva Fold, an official with the Ashkelon schools said, “The children were arriving at school this morning, at quarter to eight, when the siren blared. There was a code-red warning, and everyone panicked and rushed for the safety of the bomb shelters.”

It is more urgent than ever before that we step up our efforts to protect the men, women, and children of Israel from these attacks. The demonically-inspired terrorists who are lashing out at the Chosen People in their fury and rage will never rest as long as Israel endures. They will continue to do everything in their power to kill as many Jews as they can unless and until they are stopped. They have no desire for peace.

At the same time terrorists continue their evil attacks against innocent men, women, and children, President Obama is using our tax dollars to support his plan against Israel and for the Palestinians–the same terrorists who have launched more than 200 rockets and missiles against Israel this year. Mr. Obama and the State Department believe they can destroy the government of Prime Minister Netanyahu so that a liberal government will replace it and accept the deal to give up land promised to Israel forever by God to create a Palestinian state. If this tragic plan to curse Israel succeeds, every nation that supports it will be cursed by Almighty God.

It is only days to Christmas. Will you please show your support for Israel today by sending a Christmas Bless Israel gift right now? President Obama is cursing Israel in your name. “I will bless them that bless thee and curse them that curse thee.” (Genesis 12:3) Will you replace that curse with a blessing today?

You have been asked by Nir Barkat, the mayor of Jerusalem, if you would renovate the largest bomb shelter in Jerusalem for use by Holocaust survivors. I have stepped out by faith and said YES. A generous friend has stepped forward and said he will match whatever you give so your Christmas Bless Israel gift will be doubled. Please, please vote to bless Israel today with your gift.

I want to put heat and air conditioning in the bomb shelter and also a kitchen, bathrooms, and so much more. This will be a community center and place of love and fellowship until the day when it is needed to save lives. When the attack on Israel comes, you will know that your Christmas Bless Israel gift has saved the lives of the elderly Holocaust victims who use it…but you will also be saving these forgotten people from loneliness and isolation every day.

We still need 470 partners to give to reach our goal and complete this Christmas Miracle Project. If you have already given, will you send another Christmas gift today? If you have not yet been part of this great expression of God’s love, please join us and send your gift today.

I am going to put the name of every person who gives on a plaque in the bomb shelter in Jerusalem. If you would like, you can give your gift in behalf of a departed loved one…or a mom or dad or grandfather or grandmother or child or grandchild today. Your gift of love will never be forgotten by those who use this shelter, and God will remember it as well. “Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee.” (Psalm 122:6)

My heart is also broken over the tragic murder of Christine Logan. She was a Believer, a Christian Zionist from America touring in Israel. I knew this dear woman, and she was a committed friend of Israel. She was hiking with a friend near Jerusalem. Arab terrorists saw her wearing a Star of David necklace. They took it from her and then brutally stabbed her to death.

When you send your gift today, I will send you a beautiful Star of David bookmark. With your gift, you will be declaring your solidarity with and support of the Jewish people. Take your stand today. Raise your voice and vote to bless Israel with your gift.

Barukh attah Adonai eloheinu melekh ha-olam, she’asah li kol tzorki.

Blessed art thou, Lord our God, King of the Universe, who provides for me all our needs.

Your support of the Jerusalem Prayer Team makes it possible for us continue to mobilize believers around the world to pray for the peace of Jerusalem and the protection of Israel and meet vital humanitarian needs among the Chosen People. Thank you for being part of the team.

Your ambassador to Jerusalem,

Dr. Michael Evans

God’s warning to those harming Israel.

◦Obadiah 1:15 (New Living Translation)

Edom Destroyed, Israel Restored
15 “The day is near when I, the Lord,
will judge all godless nations!
As you have done to Israel,
so it will be done to you.
All your evil deeds
will fall back on your own heads.

The Great Miracle

Now is the time for us to all follow what Isaiah did in the unholy world? (Andrew)

Our Daily Bread

by Marvin Williams

Leonard Ravenhill (1907–1994), a British evangelist, once said, “The greatest miracle God can do today is take an unholy man out of an unholy world, make that man holy, then put him back into that unholy world and keep him holy in it.” This seems to be what God did to Isaiah when He called him to speak to His people.

Around the time of the death of Uzziah, one of Judah’s more successful kings, Isaiah had a vision of God. The prophet saw Him as the true King of the universe, sitting on a lofty throne. In the vision, Isaiah saw seraphim worshiping God with a hymn that praised His holiness, majesty, and glory.

Isaiah’s vision of God led to a true vision of himself as unholy and broken before God. “Woe is me, for I am undone!” Isaiah said (6:5). This recognition of sin led him to a need for and the reception of God’s cleansing grace (v.7). Newly cleansed, Isaiah was commissioned to spread God’s message (v.9). The Lord sent Isaiah into an unholy world, not only to live a holy life but also to tell an unholy people about a holy God.

The Lord wants to show Himself to us, thus giving us a truer vision of ourselves, a deeper need for His grace, and a greater commitment to live and speak for Him. What a miracle!

Upon my life shed forth Thy grace,
Till others seek Thy loving face;
Oh, may no thing be seen in me
To cause a soul to stray from Thee! —Roberts

Amid the darkness of sin, the light of God’s grace shines brightest.

2 Chronicles 7:14 (King James Version)

14If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

Is this why Gov Palin is viciously attacked?

In my devotions yesterday morning, I read the passage below and the first sentence sent my mind into a very “research” mode. I felt there was true meaning to what we see happening today but I could not connect it. The first sentence reminded me of obama’s statement “they cling to their guns or religion ” . Gov Palin referenced it in her new best seller “America By Heart”. Still thinking through the night 3 verses came to me and are listed below. Is Gov Palin being so viciously attacked because she is a GOD loving Christian, who PROUDLY professes her beliefs and values? I can remember reading and hearing in several sermons and from my mother-in-law “the closer you get in a full relationship with GOD the more you will be attacked”. Some further stated “If you are not being attacked ask yourself why?”

America we “must” not let these attacks go without “large responses” and continue to let our Christian values be taken away from us. We have the large numbers to stop this if we all “Stand Up Proudly for Our Christian Beliefs, Values, and Rights”

A Crutch?
by Dave Branon

Have you ever heard skeptics say that the Christian faith is nothing more than a crutch—that the only reason people claim to trust Jesus is that they are weaklings who have to make up “religion” to get by?Apparently those skeptics haven’t heard about the doctor in one Far Eastern country who spent 2 ½ years in jail being “reeducated” because he professed faith in Christ. Then, after his release, he was arrested again—this time for his efforts at his church.

And perhaps those skeptics haven’t heard about Paul. After trusting Christ, he was arrested, flogged, mocked, and shipwrecked (2 Cor. 11:16-29).

These believers were not looking for a crutch. No, they had something deep and essential in their hearts. They had a personal relationship with God—a relationship born of faith in the work of Jesus on the cross. As a result, they became children of the King—eager to sacrifice everything for the privilege of proclaiming Him. They were not limping along looking for something to hold them up.

A crutch? Hardly. Faith in Christ is not about safety and caution. It’s about believing Jesus and trusting Him no matter what. It’s about taking up a daily cross (Luke 9:23) and living for the Savior.

“Take up your cross,” the Savior said,
“If you would My disciple be;
Take up your cross with willing heart
And humbly follow after Me.” —Everest

Because Jesus bore the cross for us,
we willingly take it up for Him.

James 1:12 (New International Version, ©2010)

12 Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him.

Galatians 6:9 (New International Version, ©2010)

9 Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.

2 Chronicles 7:14 (New International Version, ©2010)

14 if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.
